Who Needs Prolotherapy?

If you exercise regularly, if you have had an injury or suffer from arthritis you may benefit from prolotherapy. Ligaments and tendon attachments get stretched or tear when you exercise. When you are young they heal quickly and regain their natural tensile strength. As you age or if you competitively train, you are causing repeated stretching or you may strain muscles leading to joint instability or tendon or muscle tears.
Joint instability can result from repeated overstretching activities or a blunt accelerated injury as in being tackled, tripping and falling, whiplash or if something heavy falls on you. A quick scan with high-resolution ultrasound can determine if you have a tear. An MRI confirms most injuries.
Here at Dr Jacquie Carefree Regen Medical I can determine where on the musculoskeletal kinetic chain is involved in the weakness and instability by examining your range of motion and your gait. During a comprehensive assessment, I can determine the cause and analyze the extent of the problem to customize a plan that works for your needs.
Proliferative therapy was traditionally called prolotherapy, researched by Doctors Hemwell and Hackett which uses multiple superficial injections of a sugar and anesthetic solution to restart healing and repair of a weakened ligament or tendon. Platelet-rich-plasma has also been used as well as bone marrow and adipose-derived stem cells became popular to promote the proliferation of new cells and the remodeling of new tissue. At Dr Jacquie Carefree Regen Medical I use Emcyte processing to extract and concentrate only the platelets and growth factors and leave the inflammatory and pain-producing cells behind. The implantation of Emcyte Pure PRP helps your body perform painless speedy healing.
At Dr Jacquie Carefree Regen Medical restoration of joint stability is achieved by strengthening tendon and ligament attachments with prolotherapy and through a strategic progressive exercise plan. Athletes do not have to stop training in most cases.

I can implant your own cells to help your body regenerate or repair when there is structural damage to bone surfaces, tendon tears, cartilage destruction or nerve damage. If you find that rest or inactivity relieves pain, you may have joint instability caused by stretched or tight tendons and ligaments. If stretching and rolling do not permanently solve the pain, you are a candidate for proliferative therapy. Start feeling better today. www.DrJacquie.us
